Riccione Resources, the Recruitment Firm with over 26 years experience, is proud to announce a Database Architect opportunity with our client.  This is a 6-month contract position with the goal to go full-time.

Responsibilities:
* This position will offer both challenges and opportunities with a company experiencing strong growth.
* The DB Architect will be implementing a new database system and web portal that will source data from several field computers real time, process the data to establish best practice/optimization sharing and implement a secure approval authority mechanism and traceability.
* Work with a SW development team in Austin and a tactical team in the Dallas office.
* We are looking for someone that is a self-starter that can identify potential problems with our design goals and give recommendations on implementation.
* Serve a critical function in the success of this operation.

Qualifications:
* Senior level database experience
* Strong understanding of MySQL
* Experience migrating from proof of concept to production server/database support
* Experience with unstable network connections a plus (data feeds might be impacted by weather)
* Experience with data mining a big plus but not a requirement
* Must be comfortable working collaboratively with remote teams (data providers for the server/database) as well as working independently (database).

The project will migrate from contracting to a full-time position in the next 6-12 months.
Our client prefers to hire someone in the Dallas area or willing to relocate here (will assist in relocation once you've become a full-time employee).  Relocation would need to happen at 6 months or shortly after.

Compensation:  Open, depends on level of experience.
